Overview:
    Piloted by the XO of Damage Inc, the Battlemaster "1DI" is a throwback to before the First
    Succession War.
    The "DI" stands for Defiance Industries. While the Chassis itself appears to have been
    manufactured on Twycross, by Trellshire Heavy Industries. The connection to Defiance
    Industries is that it was a test mule for the Binary Laser project, in the early 2800s.
    Massing 2 tons more than the PPC it was replacing, weight savings had to be made elsewhere.
    In this case the second ton of SRMs were removed as being largely superfluous in most
    scenarios, and both rear facing lasers would be removed, also. Again, deemed unnecessary, as
    the BLR is faster and more agile than a mech like an Atlas, and thus, in theory, less prone
    to have to worry about being flanked by a light mech.
    A couple other modifications would be made. CASE would be added to the left torso, and the
    Machine Gun ammunition supply would be cut in half. Problems with running the MG ammo thru
    the CASE caused the Engineers to move it the the center torso, instead. A second pair of
    Sperry-Browning Machine Guns would be housed in the right vambrace, with the idea being the
    CT would be the most armored location, and having twice as many MGs with half as much ammo
    would hopefully empty the magazines sufficiently before the center torso armor is
    penetrated.
    With the loss of much of their native Double Heat Sink production (they would be fully
    functionally extinct in the entire Inner Sphere by 2865), the Binary Laser program would be
    shelfed. With the mounting losses, though, the machine would find it's way to the front, and
    eventually, would end up in the hands of Cpt Taggert Hall, the second in command of the
    ORIGINAL Damage Inc mercenary unit.
    While the Unit would be effectively destroyed by 2864, in the hellscape that was the Second
    Succession War, the Battlemaster itself would survive, though with a blown out left torso,
    effectively destroying the CASE system. And so it would stay, handed down generation to
    generation, where eventually it would be mostly repaired.
    For six generations the Hall family served the LCAF as technicians, until Eowyn Hall would
    graduate from the Nagelring, as a freshly minted Leutnant in the 15th Arcturan Guards. After
    completing her term of service in the LCAF, she and several other Damage Inc descendants
    would reunite and resurrect the Mercenary Company in 3025.
    The Mech itself, christened "Dazzler", is in almost perfect repair, and Hauptman Hall,
    prefers to paint it in one of the modern Reflective Paints, when on campaign.
