Overview:
    Originally designed for the Star League Defense Force as Hollis Incorporated's first foray
    into the BattleMech field, the Catapult would prove a highly successful design over the next
    several centuries, even after the original manufacturing plant on Corey was destroyed during
    the First Succession War. At the turn of the millennium, however, Hollis was able to return
    the design to production on a limited basis after approximately three decades of only being
    able to manufacture limited spare parts, reversing the design's extinction fully, though by
    that point several variants of the basic design were in at least limited bespoke production
    across the entire Inner Sphere, and the original design would be superseded by advanced
    variants produced with recovered "LosTech" only a few decades later.
    
    The original version of the Catapult is fitted with thirty long range missile tubes split
    equally between the arms, sharing four tons of ammunition between them, and four medium
    lasers for close defense. As part of its secret to success, the mech is also fitted with
    four Jump Jets, allowing it a high degree of manuverabilty, while the 260-rated fusion plant
    allows it to keep up with most line units even without the jump capability. Twelve standard
    heat sinks provide adequate cooling capacity for its day. Twelve tons of standard BAR 10
    armor on a standard frame represents fairly substantial armor protection for a long range
    support platform.
