Overview:
Clan Hell’s Horses’ scientists developed the Eurus to be the first assault Omni-QuadVee.
A massive 90 ton machine, its quad design, conversion equipment and tracked treads limit its
podspace and internal room to mount weapons or other equipment, but there is still
sufficient amounts of both to provide several good battle configurations. Named for the
turbulent wind of the storm, once believed to be the savior of Sparta, this ‘Mech is
quickly garnering a reputation as an excellent war machine.
Capabilities:
The Eurus possesses a Type 360 extralight fusion core which allows it to reach speeds of up
to 65 kph; both in its ‘Mech form and its tracked tank mode, and its frame is covered in
16.5 tons of armor plate, providing it with a thick shell. Both of these features limit it
to a mere 22 tons of podspace for weapons and other equipment.
In its Prime configuration, the Eurus mounts a Gauss Rifle with 2 tons of ammunition as its
primary weapon. This is supported by four extended-range medium lasers, and a pair of
short-range missile six packs that share a ton of ammunition.
The Eurus’ Alternate Configuration A combines the firepower of an extended-range large
laser with a pair of 15 pack long-range missile launchers; each of which are fed by 2 tons
of ammunition. Backing these weapons at shorter ranges are a pair of improved heavy medium
lasers, a medium pulse laser and two four packs of short-range missiles sharing a ton of
ammunition.
Alternate Configuration B mounts two of the largest launchers of Advanced Tactical Missiles,
each of which are fed from a three ton ammunition bay. Supporting these launchers are two
extended range medium lasers.
Alternate Configuration C is an all-energy model, combining two large pulse lasers, 2
extended-range medium lasers and four medium pulse lasers. The pilots must be careful when
using these weapons as no extra heat sinks are included, and vast amounts of waste heat can
be generated if all of these lasers are fired at once.
Alternate Configuration D mounts only two weapons; a powerful extended-range PPC and a
massive Type 30 hyper-assault Gauss Rifle fed by three tons of ammunition. Although the
weaponry is limited, these powerful weapons make a an extremely dangerous combination on the
battlefield, with the HAG able to exploit holes punched in enemy armor by the PPC.
Deployment:
The Eurus is slowly rolling out to heavier units, and few have been deployed at this time.
