Close to the MCY-97 this variant was built to get targeting data while trying to stay out of actual fighting as much as possible.
So speed in and hope that your high modifiers will keep the enemy from engaging you. The MASC can help allot to get near your target (and away from it) but with some bad luck your mech is out of the fight sooner than you might have expected! (Instead of the MASC you can get a (save) move of 9/14 though!) |

A ComStar 'Mech without an XL engine! Wow!
I still say that C3i is too heavy for a light 'Mech, especially a 20 tonner. That tonnage could've gone to making the 'Mech more dangerous. Still, this will do very well in the job of getting the C3i close to the enemy, so long range 'Mechs can finish the job. I'd drop the ER small for another half ton of armor. The way this 'Mech is designed, it doesn't need the extra firepower, but it does need the armor.
This'll do its job well enough, but it could have been done a bit better. |

Nice design. Speed is respectable and the MASC just added to its role efficiency. Weaons aren't good but the mech is not meant for assault ing others sot hat is nothing tow orry about. The iC3 is a very good attachment. As a spotter it is the perfect mech.
The flaws of low armour is the only real issue here. |

As long as the MASC holds out this mech should survive. The second you fail the roll your dead.
Its a good spotter as the modifiers for enemy shots will be high and it will probably survive long enough for the other 5 mechs in the level 5 to kill off the enemy. |
