Overview:
    Am expensive Taurian attempt to reproduce the Inner Sphere's Ontos as a mobile point defense
    platform, the Ontos is designed to function in line with static defensive positions, and
    harass approaching mechs.
    
    The end result of this endeavor was the Jackson, largely regarded as a somewhat expensive if
    competent piece of equipment, it's primary claim to fame is the intensity of it's layered
    AMS fire and heavy ferro-fibrous armored hide. The long range punch of it's LRMs is also a
    notable if standard carry over from the original Ontos. These factors make the Jackson a
    troublesome stumbling block for all but the most dedicated assaults, and can stall mech mech
    pushes.
    
    Unfortunately, the choice to include a heavy Binary Laser cannon is a contentious choice,
    given the sheer tonnage of heat sinks required to support it. This in turn took valuable
    tonnage away from weapon systems. This means that fundamentally, slow moving Jackson isn't
    capable of trading blows with most mechs at close range.
