Overview:
Introduced in 3146 by Baal Defense Solutions, the Ranseur Rapid Assault Vehicle was
conceived to be a cheap yet potent platform for force reconnaissance missions and lightning
raid assaults. Fast yet well-protected thanks to a General Motors 220 Fuel Cell power plant
and six tons of Baal Defense Faustus Heavy Ferro-Fibrous armor, an armament consisting of a
single Baal Defense Tyrannosaur 10X LB autocannon provides the vehicle with the capability
to deliver formidable damage out to respectable ranges.
The Ranseur was originally built for the AFFS in the wake of the Palmyra Disaster, where the
vehicle saw respectable success in its intended applications and beyond. Since then the
vehicle has also managed to garner increasing popularity in militias and rear-line garrison
units across the Inner Sphere, most notably in the Vesper Marches, where Grumman Industries
has recently secured the rights to produce the vehicle under license on Melissia.
