This upgrade is much better than the original -1S but still a LRM isn´t the right weapon for a BattleMaster.
The LRM´s total (average) damage output is some 20% higher than the PPC´s but its missing the punch of 10 points in one hit.
But if an enemy chooses to close into min range he would be badly surprised.
The only real thing i would complain about is the use of an XL engine while it still carries masses of single heat sinks. With some slight modifications it could mount a safer standard engine.

If the LRM20 went the way of the DODO and put the ERPPC back with DHS this would be a sweet ride. As it stands, I'm ashamed to see it. One of the worst BattleMaster variants, and its Canon to boot. I really don't understand the 'mech designers who do this for a living. Of course, not all of my own designs are what they should be, and this does still have respectable firepower... so a solid 2. |

Massive let down. You mount an XL but still use normal HS ??? At the same time the armor is barely improved. The LRM-20 is good on paper, but it lacks Artemis and you got a SRM6 with 30 reloads ! Which is isn't needed in the first place.
This design needs some careful rethinking. |

Much hurtings to be using this variant. It costs a lot for a design thats naked at range. With insanely short range back up weapons.
Its going to die before it gets to do much. |
