Overview:
    Thanks to a deal with the Raven Alliance, D&K Creation Studios was feeling absolutely
    inspired in making this 'mech. Weighing at 70 tons standard and with a mixed tech approached
    between Inner Sphere and Clan technology, the Highwayman is mostly a new attempt at an
    omnichassis from a company that until recently was lacking in the creative juices to really
    create more than just refits of classic 'mechs used across the inhabited galaxy. With a
    running speed of 64 kph on a 280 rated standard engine, 11 engine mounted clan spec heat
    sinks, and twelve and a half tons of stealth armor on a clan spec endo-steel chassis, it
    should be noted that the chassis originally came to be thanks to tales of four notable
    mercenary companies and their storied histories. That is what leads to its armored cockpit,
    its compact gyroscope, its partial wings, and its stealth armor with head mounted ecm suite.
    The Highwayman is meant to be a successful omnichassis, yes, but it's also meant to be part
    of the living history of the Deadfire Tyrants, the Strange Bedfellows, the Borrowed Wings,
    and the Sly Headsmen.

Capabilities:
    Created to be a command and control variant, the Highwayman D is at times rather odd. The
    primary systems it was built around, a C3 Master computer and five tons of communications
    equipment, are perfect for its intended job role. What makes it odd, however, is the
    combination of three jump jets as that is what the design could fit with its limited space,
    combined with its primary weaponry armament. Two Light PPCs, two Improved Heayv Medium
    Lasers, and two Micropulse lasers are on the relatively lighter side of things as far as its
    tonnage goes. While yes it can hit hard, the explosion risk as well as the high heat
    generation of the improved heavy lasers is a rather high risk, as especially as all of its
    weaponry is arm mounted so an explosion is a devastating loss in weaponry. That being said,
    with the benefit of its mobility and its stealth systems, it is an enduring design that will
    be hard to take down for any opponent.
