Overview:
"Alright, look. I get you Raven Alliance lads have bought some of our stuff before, but us
here at D&K have a special design proposal for you here. You know how the Sea Foxes have
been cornering the market on somewhat affordable monsters built for ease of piloting with
their Hammerhead right? That's why you sent out your design call for a counterpart to it so
they no longer corner the market, even if you'd prefer a pure Raven Alliance company to do
so. And we have an offer here, even if we might still dip primarily into the Draconis
market. Instead of just a pure comparison, how about instead we give you a 'mech made to
fight the Hammerhead and many other 'mechs like it that will pop up with specialty armors.
Yes, it will be more expensive. It's fifteen tons heavier and will require you to mount
Ferro-Lamellor armor on top of its endo steel chassis. But, and this is the important part,
it's a zombie 'mech. A true one and not a fake one like the Cauldron Born. Pure standard
fusion engine, fourteen freezers to keep it moderately cool, fourteen and a half tons of
Ferro-Lamellor to keep it so well protected that even the hardened armor of the Hammerhead
will be jealous. Add on to that our plans for a compact gyro so we may fit even more
protection tech with its ECM suite and clan spec L-AMS and weaponry in, and well you might
see where we're going with it."
Capabilities:
"So, beyond its protective systems, its armament might seem kind of light. Four jump jets
for maneuverability, maximum speed of around sixty four kilo-per-hour, backed by two SRM six
packs in the left torso with one ton of CASE II protected ammo. What? Oh yeah unless I say
otherwise assume it's using clan spec tech just for ease of your own manufacturing. We're
selling you a design we will be making, but more importantly we're selling you the rights as
well. Now, back to weaponry. A small pulse laser in the head to act as a windshield wiper
against toads. Simple enough. The fun begins when you take into account its two primary
weapon systems. One medium re-engineered laser in the center torso to be its primary backup
armament so it can keep fighting until it gets well and truly cored. And for its primary
armament, a large re-engineered laser in that right arm to sheer away specialty armor on
'mechs like the Hammerhead away with no fuss. And that's it. Yeah like I said, it's weapon
light but in return you get a well protected, in both the physical armor sense and the
physical component sense, zombie 'mech meant to fight and win against many of the more
annoying to face 'mechs out there. All with the added bonus of the accuracy given to any
pulse laser thanks to re-engis being a short pulse variant. Now, I know I've given you all a
lot to think a lot to think about but keep 'Project Gloomwood' in mind when you're thinking
of the 'mech to make and sell, would you? Oh, it's designated name? Ah, yeah. Call it the
Neverlast. The Neverlast 1."
