Overview:
The Striker Light Tank started out as a joint project venture between Valiant Systems and
Wunderland Enterprises on the world of Johnsondale. The low-cost light fire support tank
became a mainstay of the AFFS after its introduction in the first decade of the thirty-first
century, and orders for the Striker soon outstripped the Valiant production line's capacity.
It was these features that lead to the Striker being selected for the Mechanized Cavalry
Initiative. Refitted with Omni technology following the success of the Pegasus Omni, the
widely deployed tank offered a solid base for garrisons and urban militia. The design was
upgraded with a extra armor, a combat rated fuel cell engine, and cellular ammunition
storage equipment as well as a fixed turret capable of carrying up to 10 tons of equipment.
In addition, the upgrades allow the Striker Omni to carry 13 tons of pod space, increased
from the 11 tons of the original.
