================================================================================================
Overview:
One of the most advanced vehicles at the time of its creation, the CPL-67A-FV "Chaplain 67"
was developed from the ground up with two variants in mind; one that acted as a light tank,
dubbed the "A-FV" (Armored Fighting Vehicle) and one that acted as a dedicated armed
infantry transport, dubbed the "I-FV" (Infantry Fighting Vehicle). The result was a three
year development nightmare in which every possible idea, scenario and schematic was thrown
unto the table, around the office and out of the window almost every day. This highly
unprofessional and completely on-brand behavior from the R&D department almost resulted in
the project being cancelled, before the infantrymen who would be fighting alongside these
vehicles, had a chance to see them.

In what can only be described as the world's most tense kindergarten session, multiple
companies of regular troops embarked, operated, stress tested, mounted, mishandled and
messed around with a eleven different prototype models before finally concluding that none
of said prototypes actually take into account the realities of infantry combat and listing
out a collective request of adjustments in about an organized a manner as one would expect.
A list that effectively boiled down to "Make it never need to stop moving" and "Range can go
    [REDACTED] itself".

With these new instructions in mind, the final iteration of the twin fighting vehicle
program began to take its current form. Ideas of large lasers and newly developed light PPCs
were abandoned in favor of a turret mounted Medium Pulse laser and two front hull mounted
Light Pulse Lasers. The engine was adjusted for better performance and Saria Inc. was
commissioned to create an advanced targeting and automated stabilization system that would
allow the crew to more comfortably fire on the move. Finally, the already spacious infantry
compartment of the transport variant was expanded further while the light tank variant was
equipped with a front hull mounted LRM5 to allow for at least a little bit of long range
ability despite the original request against range.

The resulting vehicles, now officially named the PL-67A-FV and PL-67I-FV, proved almost
shockingly successful. Able to keep up with infantry in even the roughest of terrain, both
vehicles carried enough firepower to deter hostile vehicles and infantry alike. Accompanied
by their extensive infantry complement and deployed in pairs of each type, the Chaplain 67
has since largely replaced the infantry transport variants of other ground vehicles and are
often seen deployed by a STR-37A "Skytrain" transport in their preferred three-unit setup.

Capabilities:
Both the CPL-67A-FV and CPL-67I-FV have largely the same advantages, that being the ability
to consistently move at flank speed and still have a decent chance at hitting their targets.
Thanks to the advantages of a Targeting Computer and Pulse Lasers being paired together,
this seemingly unimpressive tank can comfortably flank enemy units and strike at their
weak-points with relative consistency while making it very difficult to hit them in return.
Even if one does hit, it will require a good amount of damage to take one out.

Furthermore these two vehicles are designed to work in tandem with each other and a company
of infantrymen, meaning that for a relatively low cost, one can have three total units on
the field that work off of each other and can pose a significant threat to all but the
heaviest of enemy targets with even those usually suffering great damages before finally
    taking out all three units.

Deployment:
Both the CPL-67A-FV and CPL-67I-FV can be deployed alone and be relatively effective in
their duties but their design was made with a specific methodology in mind. If infantry is
unavailable, two CPL-67A-FV light tanks can still prove dangerously effective but the lack
of a third unit to further back them up with lessen the effects. Similarly, deploying two
CPL-67I-FV transports with a company of infantry in each will increase the cost due to the
extra unit while losing versatility from the lack of the LRM, small though it may seem. As
such, it is best to maintain the trio as it was originally set up and use each unit based on
their strengths while using the accompanying units to make up for any gaps.

Variants:
Both the CPL-67A-FV and CPL-67I-FV are effectively variants of each other with both having
already been described above. As such, no other variants of the tank exist since they are
    largely deemed redundant.

Notable MechWarriors:
None; even if a vehicle crew did attain fame, it would only be in the territories of the
Blackshield Company and thus of no significance to the major powers.
