Some improvement over the -2D but still the armor is too weak on this one.
Too much weapons without a real punch too.
Even in a battle around 3048 it will get toasted very soon.

Well, well, well... what do we have here? A 'Mech caught of his guard?
*cough* No this isn't a design you want to see anywhere near your unit (unless it's the enemy).
Get back the old SRMs and drop the heat sinks to get back the 9.5t armor the SHD should have. As it stands it will get shot because in addition to weak weapons it also has a paper thin armor. 6.5t could be barely sufficient in 3025, but fails to protect the 'Mech in the age of gauss rifles. It was obsolete around 3050 and if there is something that it could be compared to, than it would be Japanese tanks in WWII. |

I love shadowhawks, but have to agree with alot of posts here. very light armor and to much ammo. I still think replacing the AC with either a PPC or a ER large laser would be a great move here. This allows you go with more armor. the other move I would make is to drop 2 standard HS and upgrade the remaning to doubles. Andy remaning tonnage could go to increasing the jump. |

Hmm, everyone else has given this quite bad reviews, but for some reason I've had decent luck using this design. While it is far from great I've only lost it a few times. Maybe it just fits my style of play a bit better, or maybe its because I upgrade it myself using salvage. Hmm, thats probably more likely heh. Oh well :) |
