Developed specificly to counter the Clans, the Minuteman light tank is built for a
single purpose: to put as many Gauss Rifles onto a field of battle as possible, as cheaply
as possible, with as little logistical burden as possible.
In this, it delivers most satisfactorily. The Poland Main Model A Gauss Rifle in the tank's
turret is supplied with two tons of ammunition, providing reasonable endurance, and a Small
Laser mounted to the forward hull provides a minimal backup weapon. The 160 rated engine is
by default a Fuel Cell to save cost and avoid competing with BattleMechs, and is supplied
with an additional ton of fuel to alleviate any concerns about range - though many
individual units refit the vehicle with Fusion engines taken from Locust BattleMechs,
in an ironic mirror of the later Succession Wars salvaging fusion engines from vehicles to
keep BattleMechs running.
Six tons of Ferro-Fiberious armor protects the vehicle sufficiently for its role.
