The most expensive BV mech ever to grace the field. The weapon loadout isn't the most darn impressive but its tied to a TC and this 100 ton monster can DFA you to boot as well.
The OS streak is out of place on this beast, but the monster doesn't have anymore free space left. So use this as the final puncher in the hole if you are delivery a closed in coup de grace. |

A one-shot Streak SRM-4 launcher? That's supposed to be funny, right? In a close range brawl those ATMs will do a lot of damage; otherwise this will be outgunned at long range. All in all, only an average Daishi. |

Dear goodness, this design is quite a monster. In fact, I do believe it is the most expensive design to date (3200+ BV pts!).
A couple of points in reply to the other reviews: the small ATM launchers are really only there to justify this 'mech's existence. This can be seen by them packing only one ton of ammo each, no great swapping. Usually I like the short-range ammo best, a huge damage potential (on average, the tiny ATM6s would do 15 damage!). However, to retain heat-efficiency, and push up the damage at long ranges, I would probably go for the long-range ammo on this one.
And yes, this design is heat efficient. PPCs and all pulse lasers make the heat level out. That, combined with a targeting computer.... Shudder.... It could jump and would still have a very good chance of hitting.
And why the OS SSRM4? Well? What do you do when there are 2.5 tons of pod space left? And one critical? Yes, that's right! So replacing it with extra double heat sinks really isn't the best idea. At least this OS launcher makes sure that its single shot hits. |

I can see the Crusader mentality in this one. Cram a bunch of weapons into the chassis and wade on in.
As a result, Im not sure that the DHS can cope with all the heat.
Revamping the weapons will help. For starters, pull the Streak OS and pile on a couple more DHS. That will let the mech use its weapons more liberally, as would pulling the jump jets and adding more heat sinks. Eliminating the jump ability might be a detriment in a city battle, but if needs be, the mech can just blast down a building to make its way through.
I do like the ECM pack on it. Big mech attract alot of attention, and thus alot of ordinance. The ECM gear will jam some of the smart weapons, and give it a little more survivability.
19 tons of standard armor is quite alot, but that doesnt mean the mech is invulnerable. Kill a target, then see what kind of shape the mech is in and whats left on the field. If youre not absolutely sure that the mech can take another beating, start heading off the field. |

Another good but heat dependant Daishi, i have never really been a fan of the ATM but can see their value. With this variant the Daishi retains its crown as the king of the battlefield. But are all these variants really nessicary? |
