Pretty good. This is a prime example of a beating stick, with only one or two problems.
The armor is standard for a mech of its weight. So theres nothing really flashy there to reccomend it.
The speed is nice for a 70 ton machine. Youre not going to win drag races with Locusts, but you can easily walk away from Urbanmechs.
My biggest concern is with the weapons load. 25 DHS looks like alot, and it is, but when your alpha strikes crank out 60 heat points each time, that can turn out to be a short coming.
Best way to use this mech is as a sniper-bralwer. Use your weapons at the ranges they are intended for. Snipe with the PPCs, then mop up with the pulse lasers. Save the all out attacks for When All Else Fails.

This guy just looks mean. Its gotta be one of the most badass mechs around and looks really great.
ok so what if he overheats often and is slow ? This a very involving mech to use and if u can use him well, the amount of firepower he can dish out is amazing.
This aspect alone is worth at least 4 stars alone. Now look at its firepower...

Once again, a 70-ton omnimech has the best configuration being its PRIME version.
I like this variant best because, while less optimised for heat than the A (which also fields JJ and a tarcomp, unlike this one), the PRIME has potentially deadlier weapons and more heat problems. Meaning you have to pay more attention to heat management, making your game more challenging, which equals fun. It is also cheaper in BV.
Highly recommended!

The Puma Prime of its weight class. Though it lacks a targeting computer, this'll inflict massive damage at any range. Runs hot, but most good energy 'Mechs do, so it's forgiveable. Try to keep them at range, alpha strike, then fire one arm or the other to cool down. Try to avoid others' short range weapons if you can, but don't be afraid to get in point-blank; you'll only be more accurate. A bit slow, but that's the price you pay for perfection.

Very nasty, although an alpha strike would fry the pilot, alternated and moderated fire gives this mech a huge variation in choice of weapons. Use the ERPPC's to cripple the enemy then switch to the Lrg Lasers to finish them off or to cool down.
