Well rounded firepower and design makes this an excellent bracket fighter. The armor is tad light but the firepower compensates for it.
The LRMs are good for plinking away at the armor and lasers for the closing in. The streaks are useful for seeking out holes left behind the lasers and LRMs as well. |

Stylish light mech with very heavy firepower. Streak SRM2's and Mediums may not sound much compared to PPC's and Gauss rifles. But think 2 Mediums lasers can do nearly as much damage at half the wieght and heat of a PPC.
As for tactically, this proves a good skirmisher, rush past firing, and circle the enemy, if possible use in pairs as the combined firepower will give you the edge over pretty much anything under 80 tons. As said before the armour is a bit light so keep the speed up unless sniping with the LRMs, heat is a factor so fire two full salvos of the ER's then switch to the missiles for a turn to bring the heat down level. |

The firepower is good here, but the armor is a tad light. The LRM-10 will stand this in pretty good stead in most light duels...unless you decide to take on a Puma. Up close you have lots of guns, but you can overheat pretty easily too. |

The only weakness I see is the lack of jump jets to get in close after softening up the target with the LRM's. The weapon set would make more sense in rough terrain in which case jump jets are essential. In clear terrain, the Hellion would have to rely strictly on it's ground speed to dodge long enough to make a close range attack. |

A good example of Ice Hellion thinking. Use the LRMs to hassle a target from long range, then MASC your way in close and cut loose with the short range weapons. Try not to get into a long fight with this mech, as the armor is a little light for its chassis. |
