I just don't like this Chassis. I never have and I never will. Too little pod space, too much speed, and dies too easily. No thanks. TC, MASC, and An LRM-20 for long range is just pitiful. Too much speed, not enough weapons. Bye Bye Clanner. |

Ammo addict. Use this only for trials and a UAC 20 tied to a TC is always deadly...
Not very efficient but very brutal in execution. |

You know, Im not sure that a three tons of TC is worth it just to boss around a small laser and UAC. Waste of time and space, in my opinion.
Still, the UAC is going to be a nice Beatting Stick, especially when a target has been worked over by the LRMs.
Like I said before, though, pull the TC and put in something else, lasers, Streaks, heck, even a few MGs would be of more use. |

I can't praise the Gladiator enough - its speed is hair-raising, it mounts full armour apart from its side torsos, its pod space, though limited in tonnage, is always used with great efficiency.
The use of a couple of knock-out weapons make it a great assault-killer.
This 'mech is one of my favourites to use. Cheaper per tonnage than my other favourites, the Thor and the Black Hawk, I hardly ever go to the field without a Gladiator.
When I first started playing with this design seriously, the 'fire-support' variant C was my favourite. The missile launcher with ArtIV dealt more average damage than an ERPPC, and teaming the UAC20 with a tarcomp was just mean, man! I have since moved towards the range of the PRIME, or the single ERPPC punch and versatility of the B, but this is still an absolute killer. |
