This is a good sniper with excellent range and accuracy, although a little weak in damage department for it's size, but otherwise it can prove to be far more than just annoying. The fact that you can alpha-strike while jumping makes this annoying to play against, but the fact that you have to do just that to be fealt is a bit frustrating. Double LL and ML makes me want more to shoot ocassionally. |

I've only used this one rarely, simply because a laser+TC boat is too munchy and cheesy for most campaign play, which is what I'm really into. So anyways it IS still good, so it gets a 4. |

Not quite as favoured as my C variant. But against the Inner Sphere its the perfect setup.
This is probably one of the few mechs on campaign I've run out of Machine Gun ammo. Course I was able to reload armour usually during those missions just not ammo or internals.
About its only down side is that its a alpha boat rather than a braket machine. But somethings can be forgiven especially when its clan tech. |

Heres something a little more....effective?...than previous models.
The weapons are almost all energy based, freeing this mech from the tyrany of supply lines. A definite plus when youre fighting against IS in a campaign.
Slaving the weapons to a TC is a smart choice. It lets the mech enjoy a better chance of hitting an longer range.
The AMS alsho has loads of ammo fir it, so you can enjoy a modicum of protection from missile strikes.
THis is a good mech to have in a heavy-scout star, or assault star. It can also serve in defensive roles, sniping at targets before they can move into effective combat range. |

I've killed more than one Atlas in this Summoner. This was my ride in a Mechwarrior RPG campaign where we conducted a deep raid into Inner Sphere space. I choose it for it's lack of ammunition; I came to love it for it's ability to eviscerate anything we came across. |
