The armor on Adder chassis, it's four points under maximum, an uncommon sight on clan omni and definitely a positive thing since the 'Mech tends to get in fights with larger machines. Speed is just average, but the lack of it is partially offset by weapons load and heavy armor. fixed flamer is actually an useful tool to deter pursuit and to fend of infantry.
Adder prime is an amazing piece of clan engineering. Squeezing firepower equal to two TC augmented gauss rifles in 35t chassis is really awesome... clan high tech toys show their teeth on this config. Of course that the firepower comes at price, heat dissipation system can't handle all heat, but if you are careful with heat management you can use the prime configuration of Adder as a mobile sniper, causing heavy damage almost every time. Just try to avoid heavy combat, light machines can't take many hits and sooner or later you'll be caught immobilized by heat.

I love this clan mech. It has some serious flaws. High heat, lowish speed, and a useless flamer.
However, I beat a Masakari 2 out of 3 in a series of matches. So I have a soft spot in my heart for this mech that can just rip through opposition.
However, just because this mech can kill mediums and heavies, doesn't mean it can win every fight.
I think of this mech as the ultimate Long Range version of the Hunchback IIC. Its a one trick pony but its a good trick.

A really well armed light mech.The two ppcs are awsome at range and up close.I'd recommend that you snipe with it though, as its ppcs are good if you want to reach out and touch someone.Flamers not a wise choice.I'd put in a another HS

While the heat is its drawback, the mech can quickly take down anything with its two ppc's. It can destroy any I.S tech level one mech, and be more than a match for anything up to double its wieght in level two. A really warriors mech.

While the twin ERPPCs look nice, even one alpha strike not counting the flamer and your at 10 heat already...thats not a very good play.... Still if you alpha, then do right, left, repeat starting with alpha you do pretty good. I'd drop the flamer for another HS though.
