Capabilities:
The Hun is built around the rugged, dependable, and cheap Ceres 240 Fuel-Cell engine, which
gives the tank a maximum flank speed of 65 km/h. Ten tons of heavy ferro-fibrous provides
respectable protection for a heavy tank, and nine tons for a reinforced armored motive
system minimizes tactical kills. Not only is the Hun ease to maintain, this protection has
made the Hun a popular choice among cash strapped mercenaries, lower ranked garrison units,
and Warrior House units, with such sales keeping much needed funds flowing into the
Confederation's coffers.
The Hun has the capability of carrying a modest sixteen tons of weapons and equipment. The
Prime configuration, which is based on the Po, has an uninspired but serviceable weapon
array with the main offensive punch coming from a turret mounted Mydron Excel Class 10 LBX
autocannon supplied by three tons of ammo in a CASE protected bay. A weapon with an
excellent combat record, the Mydron Excel gives the Hun a serious combat punch against light
and medium 'Mechs; a lance working in unison is even a viable threat to heavy and assault
'Mechs. Three Maxi Mini Machine Guns supplied by a half-ton of ammo - one turret-mounted
alongside the autocannon, another mounted in a ball joint on the front, and another mounted
in a ball joint on the rear - constitute the tank's secondary weapons and anti-infantry
screen.
