I'll try to summarize it.
Medium pulse laser - you need range, and this weapon doesn't have it. At least the modifier helps with jumping.
Armor - not strong enough to survive getting to range and much less staying there.
JJs - certainly positive.
Flamer - This is no weapon, but a tool. Use with care if you don't want to overheat.
Small lasers - For what? Even worse range than MPL and not much useful.
So, overall it seems like downgrade to me. Of course there was the 1D, but it lost it's edge with new tech on field and it needs different approach, so why did they chose to do something with it instead of retooling it to different variant. |

A pulse weapon and some more armor are the upgrades on this one.
But the heat can be a problem soon.
Ok for 3050 but not for long! |

Again another poor wasp. These mechs are no more than cardboard cutouts designed to fool your opponents that you actually own a mech. Seriously thoughit is an improvement on the others but still I think the wasp is the poorest design in the BT universe Choose something else, anything will do, even a flea. |

Steiner proves it can wreck a solid scout mech...
It doesn't have the speed anymore to keep up with the real scouts.
But steiner don't know what speed or a decent refit is (exempting Guass Rifles of course)
The armour is better than the other wasp but other than that it has little to commend it. |

Jumping is a saving grace on its below average speed, however the weak weapons make this worthless in any offensive roll. So does the poor armor. |
