In modern times the max range of this mech would be medium. Up close the plethora of medium lasers and the sandblasting of the LB-X gives enemies a bad day. It's slow speed would be a problem though. The compact engine and gyro are interesting equipment but standard ones and a standard internal structure would have freed up more tonnage and space. |

Uh...hnh... (enjoy the moment, SD is apparently lacking any wannabe witty comments on the design).
Well, this thing... is certainly tough, but... I don't know... I can't help myself but to ask whether it was all necessary and whether a smaller chassis with better speed wouldn't be able to do the job as well without all that miniaturization. I'd certainly prefer guns over toughness. It is and alpha-boat, another thing that I think I'd do without... I really don't know what to think. The clans would simply pick this thing apart with ranged guns while not allowing it to close on them, or overpower it with superior firepower, avoiding the lasers. If there weren't those LB guns, which allow the 'Mech to hope for victory by head hits and crits, then I wouldn't hesitate to rate it as slightly sub-par, but as it stands it is an interesting idea, but not to my liking. |
