An interesting variant of the old workhorse. Additional speed is definitely a nice feature, but I'm not sure whether I'd like to place the XL engine on a 'Mech that is usually fielded in built up areas where it can be easily ambushed. Maybe I'd try a variant with a BAP, but C3 is also a handy piece of equipment, so I'd probably drop one of the SPL and a JJ or a DHS. The pulse lasers can rip through any infantry with the exception of the heaviest BAs with ease, but their range is limited. That isn't much of a problem for something that can go 7/11/7 and packs full armour for it's weight. Just don't expose yourself too much and you'll do fine. If there is a thing that I'd like to see than it would be my favourite universal solution for anything - the flamer ;) |
