Tough, but toothless outside short range. It's almost the same problem the old AS7-D has. The ACs can be annoying, but as Rudel already stated they are unreliable and lack the knockout punch. At short ranges the 'Mech is much more dangerous thanks to the sheer number of hits it can make, but the trick is in getting the enemy into short range. Not a bad 'Mech, but I'd avoid fielding it alone. There is some space for upgrades... |

I think that two UAC/5 don't deliver enough long range firepower for an assault Mech (especially when a jam occurs). The short range weaponry is quite heavy but the Mech lacks speed and/or jump jets to get its pray in reach. The Mech needs some knockout punch too as no hit can make more than 5 damage in one blow. With gauss, heavier ACs and/or PPCs instead of the UAC/5s this Mech would be much better. With it's standard engine, CASE and heavy armor it nevertheless will be a tough opponent. |
