I think you might get more use out of two more machine guns than the third medium laser, because of the heat issues. Even running builds up heat with this design, and there is no good salvo pattern for firing the lasers and jumping. |

Another nice one. Speed remains consistent for scout 'Mech purposes, but the addition of jump jets immediately allows it much better control of the battle flow. In an open field Modred might defeat Parcival, but anywhere else, Parcival has the advantage.
On the succession war battlefield, and against certain enemies, the machine gun will quickly prove its worth. Combine arms tactics makes assault risky at times (infantry are so slow unfortunately), but dedicated weapon systems are a necessity to take infantry down quickly. Individual men running along make difficult targets. And of course, I generally like hands on a design. Yay for multi-roled tools of war/construction.
Unfortunately, the "downside" I see to this machine is similar to the Modred, if the fluff were no present, it would simply be a version of the Stinger +5 tons. That doesn't mean it's not a good design, but severing that bond between well-known 'Mechs and homegrown is difficult at times. |

The Parcival is a well rounded light machine that will probably haunt Stinger and Wasp pilots in their dreams. Relatively well armoured and thanks to the lasers well armed too. The PRZV-1A can act in any of the roles usually assigned to light designs. Keep it moving and you'll be fine, although it would use another MG or two. |
