A good little mobile sniper. With a good pilot at the controls and a spotter, this 'mech will do a lot of damage with its ER PPC. The lack of a backup weapon is a problem, but chances are that if this 'mech is backed into a tight enough spot that it needs a backup weapon, it should probably withdraw anyway. |

I can't say that I can agree with the fluff. Mercenary companies don't belong to the groups of people that I would pick as a source of a design that modifies the base chassis like this. They could take the 5S chassis, which uses the Endo Steel, but the ability to turn chassis to ES is usually reserved for major factories. Targeting computers were also unavailable in 3050s. First IS models were produced by Davions in 3062 and Kurita started to field them 5 years later. The design itself isn't bad, Commandos were originally armed with a large laser if I recall the fluff correctly, but I concept of an ER PPC on light 7/11 chassis was already introduced in form of Jackal design from 3055 TRO and it's upgrade variant also added the DHSs and the targeting computer, so nothing new here. You built yourself a nice sniper.

I like it but IMO it would be better to remove the C3 Slave and replace it with a ER Medium Laser so that you won't be completely defenseless if you lose the ER PPC. |
