The 'Mech itself isn't bad (personally I would use LRM-20s and 14 HSs, because I don't like using smaller launchers to save tonnage). PPC and LRMs provide sufficient firepower to harm anything and medium lasers are a good backup, but the fluff has some holes. Smaller communities have problems with maintaining ANY battlemechs in 3067, in 3025 the 'Mech was a treasure and technicians able to maintain them were worthy target for slavers. If there was anything valuable on the planet, now it has two legs and guns (= prime target). The capacity to build even one assault 'Mech was reserved for factories and manufactures left over from Star League. Your planet probably didn't have anything like that, so some additional explanation would be nice.
Lineholder is also a cannon design name. |
