This 100 tonner is quite undergunned and not maxed armor. Max armor is the key for a 4/6 100 tonner since that is a big and expensive XL ye packin there.
The ER lasers and LRMs might do a good job in keeping the enemies honest at range but i wager a pair of ERPPCs offer far more bite at greater range. Plus there is 18 dhs so the mech would hardly suffer at all.
The additional weight saved as well can let u give 1 more extra ton of rac 5 ammo, CASE and another 1.5 tons of armor for max armor. Without losing your close ranged weapons, ECM and less explosive ammo overall (5 tons to 4 tons) and even a chance to salvage the machine due to ammo explosion ! Not to mention greater engagment range.
All this for the loss of an LRM-10 weapon, which is quite a good deal. If possible, do rebuild this and see how it turns out, it might even surprise you !
Right now its alittle undergunned and abit short range, not a very great combination.

An assault with 4/6 speed profile is not easy to design well. Tonnage restrictions usually cost it direly, so you must carefully consider what you install on the mech to prevent it from being unbalanced. The mech has some long range weapons, the ER large lasers and LRMs are a little light, but that may be sufficient. RAC provides nice backup but that would be all (yes, I noticed the lasers). Not much but it may be enough. The armor is not full, but it's still quite heavy. This mech may not be that bad but it still suffers from very heavy engine. |

Light firepower for a 100 tonner, especially at long range. It also carries relatively light armor considering the XL engine and 5 tons of ammunition.
The same equipment and better armor could be mounted on a 95 ton chassis. Also, this is a Lvl 3 mech without any Lvl 3 goodies, putting it even farther behind the curve. |

Seeing as how I codesigned this 'mech I have to rate it high, but honestly its a Davion beatstick that is good at its job. This is a 'mech for the ferocious pilot, not the typical plod and sod you see from the mainline Centurion. I see it as a cross between an Atlas and a Centurion with a lot of fun abilities included. |

Giving a 100 ton 'mech 4/6 speed usually results in a 'mech that is either under gunned or under armored. This 'mech falls into the under gunned category.
The problem is the heavy engine. With a quarter of the 'mech's weight dedicated to an engine, the weapons suffer. The weapons suite itself suffers from poor range, and only deals out damage equal to what a well-designed 75 ton 'mech can generate. With a smart pilot at the controls, a 'mech like the Falconer could drop the Praetorian by staying at long range and relying on speed to make the Praetorian's shots difficult. |
