Overview:
The Mackie, like most of the other Wolverine mechs, is still in use, and well upgraded for
the Modern era. Wolverine battle doctrine understands that assault mechs being slow will be
easy to target, and as such, they continued the practice of making their mech very easy to
repair, and well protected.
Capabilities:
The Mackie recently encountered seems to be a close if not field modification of the SLDF
Mackie 9H. Armed with twin LPLs in the left arm, twin MPLs in the belly turret, and an
LB10XAC with 2 tons of ammo, its relatively lightly armed for modern era mechs. However all
the weapons are tied to a targeting computer, making this mech a very efficient sniper and
anti air mech. An ECM and AP have been added to enable the mech to avoid being targeted,
and still spot enemy machines.
Deployment:
While able to lay down highly accurate fire, the 9H-II seems to fill the role of Heavy AA
mech in the units it is assigned to.
