A well thought out and nicely fluff design, this mech can do its job well especially against Infantry.
Still when face against another mech this thing can pull out of range and play a midrange sniper with its ac 5 for its lance. If done right, it can leave a few holes for crits which dual SRM-6s can exploit.

As a mech it isn't a thing you would want to use against the other mechs. This combination of speed and armor doesn't allow it to get away quickly from dangerous guns, so if it must face mechs than I would recommend hiding behind any allies you have and using the SRMs as a deterrent (firing like mad on anyone approaching without proper IFF codes). But this mech wasn't built for that. It may easily deal with low tech vees and swarms of infantry, but still I would be careful when dealing with faster enemy like multiple VTOLs or hovercrafts. Good fluff and a usable mech (it has an official TRO feeling around it). |

This reminds me of one school of tank design philosophy during the inter-war years (1920s-1930s), which saw tanks primarily as infantry support weapons....and designed tank destroyers to kill tanks.
Against conventional forces this design will naturally have an advantage, but against battlemech forces its light armor and lack of jump jets will place it at a disadvantage. (as I am certain the designer intended). This earns an excellent rating from me for a combination of imaginative design and well thought-out descriptive material. The logic of the design, and its relationship to the military tactical doctrine it was designed to fulfill is completely explained. |
