It's as dangerous as the original, but it keeps the original weakness in form of the explosive arms (the mech was already criticized for that on more than one occasion). Strong armor and low cost are the main selling points of this design, but it's still far from perfect. Probably a unit for dezgra pilots or warriors that survived for too long. Well, clan society knows no mercy. |

Incredible short-range firepower with no heat problems, but very slow and totally ammo reliant. It would probably work for defense of static facilities, especially in built-up areas, but it couldn't cover much ground in a running battle. Also, the pilot must stay pretty close to home without even a small laser when the ammo runs out.
Almost as scary as the ammo addiction is that the AC-20 ammo is located in the arms with the gauss rifles- a single critical hit could both destroy a gauss and neuter an AC. .
As a specialist design, it should fill it's assigned role reasonably well, so it's drawbacks aren't as crippling as they would be if this were a front-line mech. |
