Had a good experience with this one in the past.
The trick is to use other, larger mechs as a distraction. Especially if you are playing rules where the opponent cannot initially see what variant of the mech you are using. Caught a Strider out taking cover and obliterated its Arm and side torso ina single turn. I can see it's faults but when used properly, it could swing a fight. |

As a Solaris VII fighter it may work, but when you are going to enter any battlefield than you skould take a Hunchback. The combination of a hatchet and big bore AC provides the mech with a brutal short range firepower, but I'm affraid that the mech will be shot to pieces before it gets to range. Even in city it may find itself in trouble, being unable to reach the place of battle quickly it must stay with th main body of your forces. Thanks to relatively thin armor running through buildings is not an option, so keep it in arenas. |

Some brutal short range firepower on this one but its armor is too thin to survive a real slugout.
No long range weapon any more, no JJ´s (therefore not a really good cityfighter!) and some heat problems in tight combat situations. |

In the arenas and cities this will be deadly but on an open field it will be pounded to scrap.
The armor is just too thin for the Centy to be an AC-20 carrier. A HBK-4G can probably do the same job and come out less battered. |

I think Daphne said it best (as usual). If it gets close it's deadly. That's a big if.
Personally I'd prefer a Hunchback. The extra armor cuts down on that iffiness a good bit. |
