Overview:
    The Sicario program was intended by StarCorps to create a new heavy omnimech to become a
    standard fixture in the armed forces of the Inner sphere, and utilizing space saving
    technology to find a good blend of armor, pod space, and reparability, while keeping
    production costs down. Dubbed the SIC-1RO, this omnimech would not be the great success the
    designers were hoping for. Too expensive to replace standard line machines and inferior to
    Clan offerings, plus competing with other omnimechs like the Thanatos and Avatar, it never
    really found a market.
    
    Using a 280 rated Light engine, the Sicario has 10 built in double heat sinks, uses standard
    available armor and superstructure, and incorporates a compact gyro. With 31.5 tons of pod
    space, a wide variety of weaponry can be equipped to the mech without worrying about weight
    or space. The primary issue that kept the design from finding buyers was the top speed and
    other available options on the market, many much more established. For a mech costing
    roughly 13.9 million C bills, the Sicario is slower than many similar weight mechs of the
    era with a top speed of 65 km/h. Compared to StarCorps own competing offerings of various
    Warhammers such as the WHM-8D and WHM-9S, the Sicario offers some flexibility, but often
    with less armor protection.
    
    With the rise of Clan Wolf and loss of many traditional production centers by the Lyran
    Commonwealth and Federated Suns, emergency production runs of the design were ordered by
    both and even the Wolf Empire - oddly enough it had found itself an odd niche - stopgap
    omnimech for reconstituting units. The Light Fusion engine makes it surprisingly tough
    compared to often fielded XL engine designs in the same weight class, and the simple
    construction materials allow for fast production and repair in the field, while maximizing
    the variety of weapons that can be mounted to the frame.

Capabilities:
    The A configuration of the Sicario is an odd sniper. Mounting a quartet of Light PPCs, a
    medium X pulse laser, and three more heat sinks alongside an LB 10-X AC, the design is a mid
    to long range fighter with the ability to stay in the fight longer than many expect
