Overview:
Another variation of the highly popular Clan asault omnimech, the [i]Warhawk[/i], the Osis
version carries a diverse array of weaponry. Star Commander Kalo Osis was finally given an
Omnimech after his second tour of duty, and it happened to be a [i]Warhawk[/i]. He was very
frustrated with how often it would overheat with four PPCs, so he ordered his tech to scrap
them and add Large Lasers. This lowers its overall potential, but ups its heat efficiency
and allowed him to add several new weaponry systems.
Capabilities:
With the freed up tons from scrapping the ER PPCs, Kalo had the LRM rack upgraded to a
fifteen system, adding more long range firepower. For up close, he also had a Streak SRM 4
system installed in the torso of this beast. A Mynomer Acceleration Singularity Circutry was
also installed, to help get this massive mech around the battle field.
Deployment:
The Osis variation can be applied to any [i]Warhawk[/i], due to the fact it is an Omni mech.
However, only Kalo Osis himself has been seen using this version.

Not bad, but not amazing, either.
First off, I think the ammo for the missiles needs some tweaking. Seeing as Streak launchers only fire when they have a lock, and then hit with every missile, I dont see why two tons of ammo would be needed for them. Its an efficient system that doesnt waste ammo.
The LRMs, on the other hand, are spray and pray weapons. One paltry ton of ammo isnt going to last long, and will then force the mech to rely on the high-heat lasers for ranged fights.
I think the best tweak would be to swap one ton of Streak ammo for one ton of LRMs. Then the pilot wouldnt have to worry about making 8 salvoes count.
The coolant system on this mech is also going to have some problems dealing with the heat produced by alpha strikes. Kalo may have eased his heat problems by removing the PPCs, but he has only succeded in buying a turn or two. Yeah, I know that this mech wont have much call to fire repeated alpha strikes, but things go bad, its a fact of life.
I also have to question the use of MASC on this thing, as well. MASC is used to get a mech either into or out of trouble quickly. The Warhawk is a mech purely designed to cause trouble. The weapons are geared towards a ranged fight, thus the mech does not need to close quickly. On the flip side of the coin, the weapons load of this mech will cripple or kill a mech quick enough to close the distance, muting, but not negating the need for withdrawl. Either way, the MASC system, in my opinion, takes up valeable space that could be better used on this mech.
In all, a good try, but has room for improvement.

First, this isn't a Warhawk. You can't add armor or MASC to an existing omni chassis. Second, if this mech was created because of issues with overheating, why does it still run so hot? And carries extra ammunition to boot? 50 shots for a Streak system and only 8 for the LRM that's trying to take the place of an ER PPC? Not a great trade-off. And why does it have MASC? Not terrible, but not great either.

No MASC and additional armor may be installed on omnimech and whole left torso should be filled with DHSs (except the FF armor that takes 2 crits there). Replacing the MASC with heat sinks would allow the main laser battery to be used more often (something must be done with internal spaces to allow it). Other weapons must be used sparingly because of eat until you add the heat sinks. Another problem is with ammo. LRMs have only 8 shots and Streaks have fifty shots, that seems excessive. Swap one ton of SRMs for LRMs.
