Overview:
This is the customized King Crab first piloted by Alan's father, Jon, and later by Alan
himself. Jon was killed at the Battle of Tukkayid, his lance was suprised by a full binary
of clan assault mechs, and all were destroyed. Alan recovered the King Crab, and payed from
his own pocket to have it reconstructed and overhauled with new weaponry and equipment.
Embalmonized on the mech in several places is the name 'Ace of Spades', Jon's callsign when
he was with the Comquards. Alan holds this mech as his greatest tribute to his father, and
refuses any other mech assignment, even if it means joining the disspossesed warriors. The
number of mech kills is painted on the side of the mech, the count now is thirty eight.
Capabilities:
Alan modified this King Crab to extremes, and has added new technology and weaponry to
compliment this great war dog. He dropped one of the Ultra AC/20s and downgraded the Lrm 15
to an Lrm 10 to add an Artemis Fire Control System, a targeting computer, more ammo for the
Ultra AC/20, ferro fibrous armor, and an Anti-Missile system.
Deployment:
As this is a personal cutomized King Crab, it has not been re produced anywhere and is
unique to Alan.

As a KingCrab upgrade not very successful. It has almost the same firepower but the added speed decreases survivability considerably. The TC works nice with the direct fire guns but all in all it doesn't seem to work very well.

Devoting five tons to targeting computer on a 'Mech that has problems with too few weapons seems strange. It seems to be over-engined, because 100 ton 'Mechs should dominate the field with their guns, mobility is to be left to the others. With this weapon mix I would recommend to modify a Victor or to use more lighter, but destructive weapons like clan Scylla does.

An Ultra AC-20 is not a replacement for two AC 20's- targeting computer or not. You'll miss with that second shot more than you'll hit, and a jam cripples this mechs firepower. The original King Crab had terrible firepower- this doesn't really improve on it- although it does improve a little on speed and armor. It'll need that extra armor with it's XL engine.
It has max armor and a AMS, hoping to last a long time on the battlefield. It's ammo bins tell a different story- a very short one.

Underarmed. There's an Avatar config with this armament and more, and it does it better and cheaper. The TC helps some, but it can't make up for the inability to do damage. And an Ultra/20's weaknesses prevent it from being quite the equal of two standard AC/20s (except in terms of tonnage).
The other problems are minor in comparison. The TC ibelongs in a torso, as it's too vulnerable in the arm. And the AMS lacks the ammo to be truly useful.
