I like this Atlas.
The weaponry is close to the original and with it's standard engine it is much better than the Kurita Variant.
Hard to take down this Mech can keep it's commander in the middle of the battle, which it has to because of the rather short range of it's weapons.
So this Mech isn't for lance leaders which like to command from the rear though this can lead to a collapse of the C3-network quite fast as the main problem of this Variant.

Better than the previous variant. It has the big guns that are the best known feature of the Atlas design. Additional heat sinks aren't really necessary, they could be replaced with a stronger long range weapon. Huge LB gun is also nice, but I think that C3 master would make a better use of a gauss rifle. |

This one I sort of like. It has the inclose firepower but has one problem I question you have three or five extra heat sinks still.
Sure you can use your C3 net and fire the LRM rack at something so it'll work as you close the range in, but thats not always going to happen.
At range this mech is.... a big target. A single LRM 15 on an assault chassis is asking for someone to mug you. Heck, a lance of Vindicators or Panther's probably laugh all day long as they chew you up.
Course, your LB 20X is brutal and dangerous. The kind of thing that changes the flow of battles, but it has less ranged firepower than the King Crab essentially. Pulling those heat sinks that are extra would let an ER Large be mounted on this chassis for no loss of capability.
Other than that, its better than the CM in cannon and works than the a lot of other atlases. Thus earning its average rating.
