This 'Mech looks pretty dangerous at short and middle ranges. The combination of thick armor and AC/20 always makes you dangerous even if the speed isn't the best around. The PPC and LRMs are solid weapons for covering your approach, but the 'Mech would benefit from being paired with something with long range firepower as the enemy will probably try to stay back. It would work well as a guard for a sniping lance. It wouldn't be hampered by lower speed and the enemy would be forced to endure a constant rain of fire or to face the Butcher on it's own terms. A well made 'Mech. |

This has the potential to be devastating, especially at short range. The autocannon 20 + 3 medium lasers delivers an impressive damage spread for the day. The PPC/LRM combo is a bit less impressive, but is perfectly adequate for softening an opponent up before you can bring the cannon and lasers into play.
My only gripe is really about the placement of the weapons. I'd prefer to put the PPC in the more vulnerable arm, and move the autocannon into the torso. |

Ah, here is the Butcher, as already seen on the message boards!
I really like this one - it fills a slot thus far only taken up by the Atlas - the slow Juggernaut. But (especially considering it's 20 tons lighter) this one has a nicer long-range spread. That PPC is worth its weight in gold....
Combining elements from Zeus (long-range layout), Victor (short range) and Awesome (heavy armour, slow speed), this really becomes something unique. |

A run of the mill cookie cutter assault. This mech is simple and to the point.
I absolutely love the weapon range brackets which helps keep the mech heat low. A little discipline still goes a long way so dont go alpha crazy. AMmo explosions are bad. |

Now I like this Butcher! Two distinctive weapons grroups, thick armor hide, and good heat dissappation. While you can easily melt this one down, it is also easy to moderate your fire. A bit slow for my tastes, it makes up for it in endurance. |
