I'll give it a half point speed. speed is essential in a mech but not to the point where you sacrifice armour for more speed. a small laser is a very poor defensive weapon. the only who are going to pilot anything may as be committing suicide.

I like speedy mechs, but not so speedy, that they lack weapons (seriously single ER small is NOT a weapon at all) and armor. Only TAG can be useful in any situation other than racing. I agree, that for FRR it's too expensive, not mention militia (and there may be no FRR in 3100 anymore).

One hit and this goes from being 4 million c-bills worth of military equipment to being junkyard fodder. If you really want a fragile and fast TAG carrier save yourself some money and buy a hovercraft.

Take the poorest nation on the face of the universe. Its still technically a "Great House" but its now smaller than the Outworld's alliance and Magistry of Canopus, not to mention Liao.
Then give them a blindingly fast and able to cross the map at the mere cost of 4 million c-bills. In Level 3 rule set, its going to do well, no question there.
In standard Level 2 rules its going to be expensive dog food as those modifiers don't get better than +4 for the opponent and +1 to all your shots. Although if you finangle it to long range all the time you can manage to add +8 to the enemy if he's standing still, while you still get +5 or so on your TAG.
Still a tedious way to play a match. As your 100% reliant upon your lance mates.
I question the need for more than 1-2 of these in your Artillery Battalions though as its not like FRR can afford too many expensive projects.

Bleah..
yes its really fast and may actually be useful in its role, but its just too fragile.
The speed won't help against all the new weapons out there either..
THe fluff is just wierd... were you on crack when you wrote this? Seriously?
And 8 per Militia Artillery battalion? in the FRR? I find that hard to believe. I highly doubt the FRR has that kind of resources.
