More useful against IS than Clan unfortunalately. Clans machines will overrun this very quickly even their heavies. And their heavies like the Timberwolfs and Summoners pack weapons of greater range as well.
The idea is good but execution is flawed. The mech runs alittle hot but fired when standing still puts its heat at the magical 4, so you can always keep 1 laser down every other round. |

This mech will probably see much more use against IS forces, because clan lights will close quickly and their heavier machines will crush it under their feet. |

Unique, but getting into a long range slugfest with clan troops with these will be tantamount to suicide. You can only match their heavies for speed, and they've got this completely outgunned, and clan lights are fast enough that you'll never hit 'em before they swarm the Rifleboy. |

If I'm playing a BV match its actually harder to field sucessfully in a lot of ways. It has less armour and is only 200 points difference.
The speed is a nice thing, so it can manuver better. At the same time I liked the stock Rifleman a lot more than this mech.
Still its a niche, and filling it can be quite amusing. Have to be careful, or just double then single shot all the time otherwise you court death. |
