This turns the PXH from a "heavy" scout, harasser and scout hunter to a fast line-Mech.
Excellent armor and speed combined with serious firepower at a acceptable range. |

Even without JJs this mech is not that bad. 6/9 speed is still high for 3025 era and full armor in combination with additional heat sinks allow it to stay longer. This is the PXH you want to take for chasing off Valkyries and other fire support mechs from some comfortable firing position, but be carefull. Archers or Crusaders (or any other heavy mechs) may be unwilling to move. |

A long term harrasser design, with lots of armour and laser weaponry.
The lack of jump jets hurts but at 6/9 in 3025 its going to be able to avoid everything but scouts most days.
And scouts will fear fighting one of these.
The small laser is a waste but sometimes we all must pull and Aidan.
I'm biased in favour of this design due to a fair number of kills with it. |

Why does Kurita keep getting saddled with poor 'upgrades' like this? Without the jumping the Phoenix Hawk loses its main advantage on the field. With the overheating problems that are inherent in most Phoenix Hawk designs, it is the jumping that makes it worth while. Turning the king of the skies into a ground pounder is a bad choice. |

I've had to step back and take a second look at this mech. Even though it cannot fire it's large laser with any other weapons without overheating, it is a good design. It can either shoot the LL, or shoot all the smaller weapons and run without heat problems. Now I understand why you L1 junkies like this mech. |
