Overview:
    When the Smoke Jaguars put up their last defense on Huntress, the Inner Sphere encountered
    this variant in great numbers. The necessities of such a gruelling campaign had led the
    Jaguars to equip the 'Great Death' exclusively with energy weapons.

Capabilities:
    This all-energy configuration not only offers great reach and accuracy, it also allows
    almost constant fire at the cost of only very little heat. The lasers are all mounted in the
    arms, as is usual with Daishis, giving coverage of the complete battlefield. The torsos
    merely supporting a huge heat dissipation systems, which is made necessary by such a
    high-heat weaponry. The flamer was found to be of great utility in the forests of huntress,
    laying fires easily to cover any retreat, should one this beast ever withdraw.

Deployment:
    The Smoke Jaguars used this configurations extensively throughout the campaigns on their
    homeworlds, often working in unison with the Koshi P. Intelligence seems to indicate that
    the Jade Falcons often field this variant as well. In fact, evidence points to the Falcons
    having introduced this design shortly after Tukkayid, the Smoke Jaguars then adapting it for
    their withdrawal campaign. The Jade Falcons hardly ever use Daishis, preferring quick or
    mobile designs such as the Thor or the Turkina. The Daishis, despite being so advanced and
    heavy, seem to be distributed around the PGC in the Inner Sphere. As such, the Falcons are
    unlikely to devote a lot of resources in the form of remunitions for these units. This,
    together with the ammunition problems experienced on Tukkayid, may explain how this
    configuration was conceived, and why the Inner Sphere only discovered it on Huntress.
