The same weapons, no XL engine, full armor and a lot of ammo. It manages to be one of the most scaring mechs around. |

Good mother...
I'm not going near one of these things.. Running away sounds better than facing up to twin Gauss Rifles and twin ER PPCs
And the ability to fire all four and run at the same time...
Back-up weapons suck, but seriously.. who needs them? Each Gauss Rifle has 24 shots.. that's enough for a long battle and the twin ER PPCs are still deadly even without the Gauss Rifles.
Maximum armour just adds to the pain of having to face one of these. |

Good Gawd this is 1 heck of a dangerous design. Basically u are dealing 60 points of damage at long range with every turn when u push the heat line. The dual medium pulse lasers and rear ward ER-med are just icing on the cake and give u something extra to shoot with in case something gets too close.
The standard engine makes this a heck load more rugged then than its remake during the 3058 IS version and 16 tons of clan grade ferro gives it nearly maxed protection. And for a Clan mech, it carries 24 rounds of Gauss slugs per cannon which is great !
Very nice. Gotta give this a 5.
P.S. Devastators look cool too ;-) |

I love this mech, short of some of the munch assaults it can't be matched. Course at the same time I love the fluff. I'd field one just because of the fluff.
Its by no means a perfect design, being too light on armour for my tastes, but the fluff kicks it up a whole star.
Sure the Guass rifles can run out of ammo but with 24 shots each, they can last a long long time on campaigns. Which is a love for me. |
