The ER PPC and the Gauss rifle are just powerful enough to make attempts to destroy this mech with long range weapons dangerous, but getting closer won't help you too much. Instead of heavy close range weapons this mech carries heat sinks and ammo that allow the long range weapons to engage targets that wander too close without problems. Standard engine and heavy armor should ensure, that this mech will live long enough to expend the ammo and be constant source of pain to the enemy. |

Trying to keep the Aussies reputation for being tough eh?
Nice brawler, cause that's what it essentially is. Some long range punch before going nuts up close. Hit can be tight, but there's no risk of ammo blowing, so go crazy. |

Fulfills the need for cheap assault mechs that can be slotted into any unit really. However, this puts it at a disadvantage anytime it runs up against a specialist assault mech.
I can't think of a good use, other than to try and duck in under a sniper mechs guns or to back up and snipe a brawler. I can't see a natural fit for it in any special events. Its more just a cheap effective assault mech for mercenaries. |

What's not to like? The gauss/ER PPC combo works pretty well, and the other weapons make up for losing the gauss to min range up close. It does seem a touch short on raw firepower, but the toughness of the chassis should give it an advantage over most any XL engined 100 tonner. It's not that often that I see a CASE'd gauss rifle, so that's a nice touch too.
I see this as more of a general purpose 'Mech than a sniper. A go anywhere do anything, but excells at nothing 'Mech. Look out for dedicated snipers/brawlers; either will put you at a disadvantage. |
