Very expensive and there are many mechs that can do the same thing better for lesser price. The lasers are merely sufficient as armament and mediums can be easily replaced with standard weapons to allow the large laser to support them at close range.
Electronics are excellent and armor too, but weapons and cost turn this just to slightly above average mech. |

Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty decent mech, but it is simply too expensive to be worth the price.
I'd rather pay a smaller amout for a lighter, less combat capable scout.
And like others say, compared to the Cicada and Locust, its value drops noticeably.
House Marik may lots of money to spend on Mechs but this is stll too high for a mere scout mech/scout hunter...

I'm going to ramble for a bit.
The universe is created and the cheapest scout mech ever is created the Locust at 1.5 million c-bills and change.
Then greed sets in and the Cicada is its bigger more expensive brother at 3.8 million c-bills. (8.0 million for XL version)
Then more greed sets in and the King Locust is designed at 13.4 million c-bills.
So this design in theory is as good as many other scout hunters. But the Cicada manages the same thing with just an ER PPC at 3.8 million.
The extra 10 million gets you the tonnage to add 3 more tons of armour and 3 more ER Mediums. So yeah, I'm seeing this as a losing trade.
This isn't even considering the cost of making an XL 385 plant just for this design to use.
I think you could the same firepower out of a refited locust lance for 25 more tons and about half the c-bills.
I find this mech good at its job, but way way overly expensive. To the point of making Marik choke on it. |

I like the idea behind this; it's got the electronics package a scout would need, and the ER large laser lets it serve as a sniper. |
