Overview:
The original Hunchback C was designed in 2824 by Clan Snow Raven. After the destruction of
their capitol city by the Not-Named Clan a year earlier, the Snow Raven Khans decided that
they should have a BattleMech capable of defeating opponents of almost any size in the tight
confines of a city. At the same time, the Snow Ravens did not have the resources to produce
an assault class BattleMech with cutting edge technology. For this reason, the Snow Ravens
decided to modify the Hunchback design. While the Hunchback C is expensive for its weight,
it is much cheaper than an assault class 'Mech would be. Over the years, the Hunchback C has
been modified a number of times, in order to keep it in line with the current state of Clan
technology. The much less effective Hunchback IIC appears to be based on this design,
apparently meant as an attempt to improve upon it. Signs point to Clan Smoke Jaguar or Jade
Falcon as possible designers of the Hunchback IIC.
Capabilities:
The Hunchback C begins with an Endo Steel internal structure, Ferro Fibrous armor, and an XL
fusion engine. Combined, these advanced materials give the Hunchback enough free tonnage to
mount an impressive armament. The most important upgrade for the Hunchback is of course to
its primary weapon - the shoulder mounted autocannon. The weapon which replaces the old
autocannon is a Clan tech Ultra autocannon, which is both lighter and capable of twice the
standard AC's rate of fire. The Ultra autocannon is provided with an impressive six tons of
ammunition, more than most assault class 'Mechs carry for such a weapon. All three lasers,
including the head mounted small, have been replaced with medium pulse lasers. Although
heavier, these lasers are longer ranged, inflict more damage, and, most importantly, are
much more accurate. The Hunchback C's center torso houses a strong electronics suite. An
active probe system lets the Hunchback C detect enemies which might be hidden within the
confines of the city. Conversely, the ECM suite lets the Hunchback hide by shielding it from
similar sensor systems. The final modification made by the Snow Ravens was the addition of
jump jets, giving the Hunchback C impressive maneuverability despite its low speed.
Deployment:
The Hunchback C is deployed in several of Clan Snow Raven's second line Galaxies. The Blood
Spirits also possess a number of these machines through past dealings with the Ravens. The
Hunchback C occasionally sees production, but most of them are decades or centuries old.

If it is an upgrade of 4G than I would use two tons from the AC to add ammo and two tons from the Endo Steel for JJs and half ton to upgrade head mounted laser to ER medium (arm mounted lasers will be ER mediums too). Two heat sinks would be replaced with electronics and heat sinks will be double. And it would be without XL engine and Ferro fibrous armor. Abilities would be similar to this variant but the cost will be lower.

Well actually, I'd rather have the IIC, than this hunk of junk. Sure its only got ammo for 5 rounds rather than this one's 15. But by sheer odds your going to jam them at some point with 15 chances. so the IIC is better in my mind.
The medium pulses are okay, but you needed the extra range on this design so ER would have made more sense.
Go wtih just a straight Hunchback IIC If you want to field a clan one.

Okay seeing how there is a IIC of the Hunchback already why would we need a C version?
Not to sound harsh or mean but you more or less reinvented the wheel with this one. Nothing really new or different and the IIC has dual UAC20s so you get more out of it. Yours has more ECM, but given that the Clans dont use ECM that much it's a waste of space. Granted it would make sense for all the mechs to have ECM and other things, but not in BT's logic and take on things.
It would be interesting to see this mech against the IIC Hunchback in a fight though.
