Overview:
    The ALM-10D is the newest upgrade to the Fireball design. This new upgrade completely
    discards the Fireball's old focus on hunting Elementals (since it was never good at that),
    and focuses it more on spotting and reconnaissance, jobs which the Fireball's speed makes it
    well suited to.

Capabilities:
    The ALM-10D's armament is a trio of ER medium lasers; these give it respectable damage and
    range, while freeing it from the ammunition constraints of previous Fireballs. Although
    bulky, the added double heat sinks let the ALM-10D fire its weapons without heat
    restrictions. The standard armor has been replaced with StarGuard Ferro fibrous armor. The
    extra tonnage gained from the armor change is used to mount the ALM-10D's most important
    "weapon" - the TAG system. The TAG allows the Fireball to designate targets it finds for
    long range artillery and missile bombardment, effectively giving the Fireball unlimited
    firepower. This tactic should work especially well the the regimental combat teams employed
    by the Federated Suns.

Deployment:
    Although it will take some time, every Fireball in the Federated Suns is slated to be
    modified to this standard.
