Replacing the LRMs with streak launcher turned the BSW to a dangerous close range fighter with good crit. seeking ability. The XL engine may cause some problems in spite of the heavy armour, because you have to get much closer now and there are no long range weapons to cover your approach at all (okay, the AC can do that, but I'm not sure whether it is enough). As I'm thinking about it I'd prefer a Champion to this... |

This design accomplishes a lot. Turning a joke into a viable combat design, is the best part. However, even upgraded it still doesn't really seem to make my list of really good mechs I want to use. Its good, and something I'd be happy with, but its just not versitile enough.
The XL engine bugs me slightly as the Light would make more sense but its explained so I'm not going to mark it up or down on that.
Kind of worries me that anything that can shoot 600+ meters can hit this thing with no retaliation. So, I think that its a good pick, but 5/8, is kind of funky speed for a heavy. Its more a medium mech speed for IS troops which means its going to mingle with lots of jump capable designs or never really get to use its top end speed. Which it pays for with an XL. |

When compared to the original Bushwacker. This rocks. Compared with other designs, its still a nice solid piece of work.
While not very mobile, it has good protection and weapons that ought to make it a threat to even heavy mechs.
A nice workhorse that i wouldn't mind on my side. |

A good upgrade when compared to the awful original. Runs pretty warm if u keep jabbing the ERLarge. But the heatscale is almost downright easy to control. Just keep pair the ERLarge and Lb-10x together at longer range and leave the ERLarge silent if the enemy comes closer.
Excellent when compared to its original. |
