Wait, youre trading a pair of LRM 10s for a single ER PPC? I can see the improvement in range and ammunition, but the PPC generates more heat and deals the same average damage as a pair of LRMs....
The new RAC will let the mech ladle out some generous damage.
About the only flaw in this incarnation is the lack of a real ranged weapon. Granted the PPC has a range advantage over the LRMs, but youre down to a single weapon for ranged attack and defense. |

Like all Rakshasa designs, they suffer from trying to have more speed which ultimately weakens the armor and weapon payload it carries.
The weapon pairing of the ERPPC and RAC is a nice touch although the armament is still a tad light when compared to most line heavies. |

Just to rate this mech I opened 2A RS ... and closed it quickly. This variant has needed long range firepower, but It sacrifices a lot for this speed profile (just like the other MDGs). I think that it's possible to have the same performance from lighter chassis (and for lesser price of course). The heat is manageable, but using ER PPC with the other weapons produces too much heat. And MDG should have lower arm actuators if I'm not mistaken. It's an improvement, but still I don't like the mech too much. |

Definately an improvement over the 2A and move than capable fo handing the original its head.
The mix of the ER PPC and RAC gives the Mech a nice punch and long and mid range while the array of lasers can put paid to the fool who wanders to close.
