A plain upgrade that fits well with the old SL era. I would keep two lasers turned backwards, because the heat sinks can't keep them firing too long if the 'Mech moves or tries to use SRMs. Otherwise it's just like the old BLR. A tough short range killer. |

A very good, straigt-forward, no nonsense modification.
The armor is favorable for its weight, and the weapons are modified enough to be more usefull than standard, yet not so newfangled as to be confusing.
That and its a BLG. :) |

A simple but useful upgrade to a venerable mech. This continues Mud's plan to convert TRO:3025 mechs into his Star League 17 series mechs.
Th upgrade toan ER PPC gives a longer bite while the Artemis IV adds to the usefulness of the SRM-6.
Still useful in whatever roles a BM normally fulfils. |

Have I mentioned that I really like medium lasers? That is one of the best features on this 'Mech. The medium laser battery will do very good damage at a short but acceptable range, and they have good support in the SRM 6. The SRM 6 has enough ammo for a good fight, and while they're not Streak, the Artemis provides at least some improvement on them. I don't like AMS myself; I'd prefer the machine guns instead. Still, the AMS has its uses, so I guess I can't complain too meuch. The ER PPC will do nicely to cover this as it gets into range, and the AMS will probably help there. The combination of single heat sinks and the ER PPC is very interesting, but it actually works here. And the heat sinks will also cover the medium lasers. Fight intelligently, and this is very heat efficient. This will be a good challenge for any assault 'Mech near its weight, regardless of the opponent's tech. |

A BM that is still a BM. ERPPC for the long range knocks and 6 middle lasers can leave plenty of holes for the SRM6. A good design but i dont kinda like AMS. Some might feel its alittle undergun, but this is what ya get for a 4/6 assault on standard engine.
Interesting enough is the use of single heatsinks.... |
