Overview:
    The ENF-6R was an early variant of the standard 6M Enforcer. When the original ENF-6M came
    out, pilots switching too it from the ENF-5D often complained about the differences in the
    autocannon. Some didn't like losing the versatility of the LBX, some didn't like the Ultra's
    high ammo consumption rate, and quite a few were displeased with having an autocannon made
    outside the Federated Suns. More with unobtrusiveness than active secrecy, the plans for the
    6R conversion made their way from the Robinson Rangers to every unit in the Federated Suns
    (then still the Federated Commonwealth).

Capabilities:
    The 6R Enforcer replaces the 6M's Ultra autocannon with the Mydron LB10-X in an attempt to
    replicate the ENF-5D's armament. The tonnage freed up by the lighter weapon and the Endo
    Steel internal structure (which the 5D did not have) is used for two more very welcome
    modifications. The first is a half ton of extra armor, which gives the Enforcer's legs
    greater protection. The second change is the removal of the ER small laser in favor of a
    pair of medium lasers, a much welcome change which actually lets the 6R match the 6M's
    damage potential at medium ranges.

Deployment:
    ENF-6Rs have been serving throughout the AFFC (and later the AFFS) since the deployment of
    the first 6M Enforcers. These 'Mechs gave the solid but uninspiring service which is the
    most outstanding feature of the Enforcer series throughout the FedCom Civil War. Enemy
    pilots often mistake the 6R Enforcer for the older 5D until they get within medium laser
    range; most do not survive the mistake.
